Kylian Mbappe's return to the Stade Louis II didn't go completely according to plan after the former Monaco man missed an open goal

Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe missed a sitter on his return to Monaco, although it did not matter as the visitors ran out 2-1 winners against the Ligue 1 champions on Sunday.

The chance happened in just the second minute of the league clash at the Stade Louis II after the France international, who joined Monaco on an initial loan deal last summer, was played clean through on goal by Neymar's inch-perfect through ball.

However, after rounding the advancing Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic, Mbappe then somehow failed to roll the ball into the open goal.

The failure to score, however, did not cost his side who went on to claim all three points and move nine points clear at the top of table.
