Neymar left the field in tears on a stretcher after being injured in PSG's Ligue 1 match with Marseille and could miss the Champions League clash with Real Madrid

There was a worry for Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday night when star man Neymar was stretchered off in tears during their 3-0 win over Marseille.

While it was another routine victory for the Ligue 1 champions over the team sitting third in the table, it came at a price after the club's record summer signing was carried off with a serious-looking ankle injury.

The world's most expensive player had earlier produced a great piece of skill to tee up Edinson Cavani to score his 30th goal in 33 appearances to round off the scoring for the Parisians.

However, in the final quarter of the game, the Brazil international rolled his ankle and was in some discomfort as he was taken away by medical staff.

PSG host Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday, March 6 having lost the first encounter 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
