Hatem Ben Arfa loses case against FIFA after move to Nice from Newcastle

Former Newcastle United winger Hatem Ben Arfa has lost his case against FIFA at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Ben Arfa was seeking to reclaim €4m (£2.92m) he said he had lost in wages after he was banned from playing for French club Nice in the second half of last season.
The 28-year-old Frenchman signed for Nice in January but could not play for them because of transfer rules.
FIFA rules state that players cannot play for more than two clubs in a season and Ben Arfa had already played for Hull City, who he joined on a season-long loan on September 2, 2014, and the Newcastle development team.
CAS has backed FIFA's decision that development team games are official matches.
After a hearing in Lausanne in June in front of a three-man panel, CAS has decided to dismiss Ben Arfa's appeal.
