Pablo Hernandez struck a late winner as Celta came from behind to win at Real Sociedad and move third in La Liga.

David Moyes' side had twice gone ahead through Imanol Agirretxe only to see Iago Aspas draw the visitors level on both occasions before Hernandez turned the game on its head with an 89th-minute winner.

The 3-2 win sees Celta leapfrog Villareal and Atletico Madrid and to within three points of both Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Real Madrid eased past Las Palmas 3-1 thanks to goals by Isco (4), Cristiano Ronaldo (14) and Jese (43) and stay top on goal difference.

Barcelona kept up the heat on their rivals with a 2-0 win at Getafe after a stunning goal by Luis Suarez and Neymar.

Villarreal survived a late fightback from Sevilla to hang on for a 2-1 victory with goals by Mario and Cedric Bakambu.

It was a miserable end to the match that had promised so much for Sociedad after they took the lead as Agirretxe headed home David Zurutuza's cross, only for Aspas to equalise with a smart finish.

At that stage Moyes would have been hoping his side could hang on and move clear of 15th place after their slow start to the season.

But the former Everton and Manchester United boss remains under pressure as Celta hit back after the interval.

It was Aspas who once again provided Celta's route back into the game as he headed home Daniel Wass' cross just before the hour.

Mikel Gonzalez and Berchiche both missed good chances to rapidly reinstate Sociedad's lead and the game soon appeared to be heading for a draw.

That was until Hernandez flashed home a perfect half-volley - cracking his left-footed effort past Rulli in the dying stages to keep Celta's impressive start to the campaign moving forward.
