The 21st season of live Spanish football on Sky Sports gets underway this weekend with over 300 games available throughout the campaign.

Champions Barcelona host Real Betis on Saturday, live on Sky Sports 3 at 5.15pm, while runners-up Real Madrid go to the Anoeta on Sunday evening to face Real Sociedad, live on Sky Sports 1 at 7.15pm.

There are new players aplenty for the champions, as Andre Gomes, Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne look to stamp their mark on Luis Enrique's side. In the capital, Alvaro Morata will look for a successful return to Real Madrid after his re-signing from Juventus.

Last season's title challengers and Champions League runners-up Atletico Madrid also get underway, taking on newly-promoted Alaves at the Vicente Calderon on Sunday at 9.15pm, live on Sky Sports 1.

As they prepare for their last season at their famous home before moving to Estadio La Peineta, Diego Simeone's side welcome striker Kevin Gameiro and midfielder Nico Gaitan to the side.

The Calderon will host its final Madrid derby in La Liga on the weekend of November 19, live on Sky Sports, and the first Clasico of the season takes place on the weekend of December 3 at the Nou Camp, also live on Sky Sports.

Sky Sports' Terry Gibson is tipping Atletico Madrid to win the La Liga title this season, and believes the signing of Gameiro could be decisive.

"I tipped Atletico when they won it and I have tipped them ever since, for the last two seasons they haven't delivered, but I am going to stick with them," he said on the first La Liga Weekly Podcast of the season.

"Gameiro could be the difference, they have been crying out for another striker alongside [Antoine] Griezmann and that has the look of an exciting partnership.
