Javier Mascherano scored his first Barcelona goal in Luis Enrique's side's 7-1 victory over Osasuna.
The former Liverpool midfielder last found the back of the net in a club game in February 2010, scoring in the Reds' 3-1 win at Unirea in the Europa League.
Seven years and 60 days later Mascherano had that scoring feeling again, converting a 67th-minute penalty after Denis Suarez was fouled in the penalty area by Fran Merida.
Ivan Rakitic initially picked the ball up but with a four-goal lead the Croatia midfielder handed the ball to Mascherano and he confidently smashed the ball into the roof of the net.
Mascherano's successful penalty brought an end to a run of 318 games for the Argentine midfielder without a goal for Barca and the strike also brought up another milestone as it was the 500th goal for Barcelona under Luis Enrique in all competitions.
Barca kept the pressure up on Real Madrid in the race for the Premier League title with their 7-1 victory over bottom of the table Osasuna. Lionel Messi, Andre Gomes and Paco Alcacer all scored twice to add to Mascherano's strike as Luis Enrique's side stayed top of the La Liga table.
