A below-par Atletico Madrid suffered a setback in their bid to win the King's Cup for the first time since 2013 when they drew 1-1 at third-tier Elche in the first leg of their last-32 tie on Wednesday.
Elche, who have fallen quickly since being relegated from La Liga for unpaid tax debts in 2015, were resilient and by the end were matching Atletico blow for blow.
