Substitute Angel Correa made the breakthrough in a hard-fought 2-0 victory for Atletico Madrid away to Eibar, while Real Sociedad's miserable season continued.

Diego Simeone's side had made little impact against a determined Eibar defence, but the introduction of Correa and Fernando Torres in the second half changed the game.

Torres set up Correa for the opener after 62 minutes and then the Argentine youngster was the supplier for Torres, who dinked the ball over 'keeper Asier Riesgo for the second after 78 minutes.

Real Madrid, who beat Granada, have 10 points from four games and are a point ahead of Atletico and champions Barcelona, who have won their opening three matches and face Levante at home on Sunday.

In the late game, A stoppage-time goal from Hernan Perez saw Espanyol sneak past 10-man Real Sociedad 3-2 for their second win of the season.

In an enthralling encounter, Sociedad led after 19 minutes through Imanol Agirretxe before Gerard Moreno levelled from the penalty spot moments after goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli had been sent off.

Espanyol then went ahead thanks to Enzo Roco's 71st-minute strike but Jonathas looked to have secured a point for the home side with his equaliser four minutes from time.

However, there was late drama to come as Roco supplied the ball which was finished by Perez in the final minute, snatching a win for Espanyol which banished memories of last weekend's 6-0 hammering to Real Madrid.

Defeat for Sociedad means David Moyes' side have yet to win in the league this season.
