Lionel Messi was delighted to have played the full 90 minutes in Barcelona's 6-1 win against Roma in the Champions League.

Messi scored twice in the impressive victory on his first start for two months after sustaining a knee injury against Las Palmas in September.

The record-breaking forward slotted back into the in-form Barcelona attack of Neymar and Luis Suarez with minimal fuss as the trio combined for three of the six goals, including a mesmerising 27-pass move for the Argentine's first goal of the evening.

"I'm happy because of the final score and for the fact that I was able to play 90 minutes," Messi said.
