Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo could miss next Sunday's La Liga game against Espanyol after injuring his right calf in the 2-0 win at Real Betis.

The Chile international was replaced by Marc-Andre ter Stegen in the 88th minute of the victory at the Estadio Benito Villamarin which kept Barca top of the table.

Bravo, who has injured the soleus muscle in his right calf according to the club's website, will now need to prove his fitness for the visit of local rivals Espanyol to the Nou Camp next weekend.

Barcelona, who finish the season the following weekend at Granada, top the table with two games remaining but they are level on 85 points with Atletico Madrid, with Real Madrid just one point behind.

Bravo has started 32 of Barcelona's 36 La Liga games this season, with German Ter Stegen keeping goal in the other four as well as in cup competitions.

Bravo's progress will also be monitored closely by Chile coach Juan Antonio Pizzi who has named the 33-year-old in his provisional Copa America squad as they look to defend their title in the United States.
