Ernesto Valverde admitted he is unsure whether Andres Iniesta will stay at Barcelona, after his side's 3-0 victory over Chelsea.
Iniesta returned from injury to help Barcelona secure a 4-1 aggregate success over Chelsea, with a double from Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele's first goal for Barca ensuring the La Liga leaders progressed to the Champions League quarter-finals for the 11th season in a row.
After the match, Iniesta revealed to reporters that he has had an offer from China, and must decide whether to leave Barcelona in the next few months, with his manager uncertain as to what option the 33-year-old will take.
"I don't know [what he will do], it's a very personal decision, he has to decide," Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde said.
"He has his reasons and will decide what's best for him. I'm not thinking of a Barcelona without Andres Iniesta because right now we have a Barcelona with Andres Iniesta."
Messi's second at the Nou Camp on Wednesday was his 100th Champions League goal of his career, once again inspiring his side to victory, and Valverde couldn't hide his delight with his talisman.
"That goes with Messi's personality, the sense of responsibility that he has," Valverde added. "He knows in certain moments stars have to come out. He forces himself to do that. There's no guarantee that he's going to score, but he is a fantastic player. We enjoy him.
"We're lucky enough to be seeing something that will go down in history."
