Following Rafael Benitez Real Madrid exit, we take a look at where it all went wrong for the Champions League winning coach.
It was a frustrating start for Benitez as he saw his side held to a goalless draw at newly-promoted Sporting Gijon on the opening weekend of the season while defeats at Sevilla and Villarreal further weakened his position.
However, a crushing 4-0 home defeat to Barcelona was perhaps the most damaging result for Benitez and after failing to beat his former club Valencia on Sunday, he leaves with the club third in La Liga, four points behind leaders Atletico.
