Gareth Bale has signed a new contract at Real Madrid until June 30, 2022.
The Wales international joined Real from Tottenham in 2013 for a then-world record fee of £85.3m, signing a six-year contract at the Bernabeu.
He has won the Champions League twice in three seasons in the Spanish capital, scoring 62 goals in 135 appearances, 14 of them since Zinedine Zidane took charge in January.
He shone in both Champions League finals against cross city rivals Atletico Madrid, scoring the crucial second goal as Real ended a 12-year wait for their tenth European Cup in a 4-1 victory after extra time in his debut season in 2014, before scoring from the penalty spot when Los Blancos edged this year's final in May 5-3 on penalties.
The 27-year-old is the latest in series of Real stars to agree contract extensions in recent weeks as the club prepares to serve a one-year transfer ban imposed by FIFA should a final appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport fail.
Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Lucas Vazquez have already agreed new deals, whilst Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to follow suit.
The former Southampton winger will hold a news conference at 12.30pm on Monday.
