Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas gifted Real Betis the lead after a poor piece of goalkeeping at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas gifted Real Betis the lead after a shocking error at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday night.

There appeared to be little danger when full-back Riza Durmisi broke clear down the left wing and picked out the run of Antonio Sanabria in the area.

The striker then shot goalwards, only for Navas to somehow let the Paraguayan's weak effort squirm under his body and into the back of the net as the Costa Rica international became the first 'keeper to put through his own net in the Spanish top flight this season.

However, Navas managed to redeem himself after that howler when the 'keeper did brilliantly to dive full length and claw away Antonio Sanabria's injury-time header that seemed destined for the back of the net.

Real won 2-1 to move two points clear of Barcelona in La Liga with a game in hand.
