Roma owner James Pallotta tales a dip in the Piazza del Popolo fountain

The city of Rome was alive with celebration last night after Roma knocked Barcelona out of the Champions League.

And the club's owner James Pallotta was in the mood for a dip in the Piazza del Popolo fountain.

After a 3-0 home win that saw the Serie A side make the semi-finals on away goals, Pallotta joined legions of fans in the city centre.

Cars were rocked on their axis and scarves were flown from the windows as pandemonium ensued in the Italian capital.

Even the Italian media widely celebrated at the Stadio Olimpico, having witnessed one of the most remarkable turnarounds in Champions League history.
