Javier Hernandez has won back-to-back Bundesliga Player of the Month awards.

The former Manchester United striker has scored seven goals in his last five matches, including a hat-trick against Borussia Monchengladbach, to be voted the Bundesliga's best in November and December.

Hernandez joined Bayern Leverkusen in the summer for £12m after being told he was surplus to requirements at Old Trafford by manager Louis van Gaal.

The Mexico striker spent last season on loan at Real Madrid where he scored eight goals and returned to United after the Spanish giants decided against making the move permanent.

Hernandez then joined Leverkusen on a three-year deal after. He has claimed he was told by Van Gaal he had only a "one per cent chance" of playing up front for United.
