FC Nurnberg have signed Feyenoord striker Angelos Charisteas on a four-year deal.The Bundesliga club have reportedly paid ?2.5million (£1.7million) for the Greek international, ending his two-and-a-half year stint in Holland.
Charisteas returns to Germany, where he enjoyed a successful time with Werder Bremen, having scored just nine goals for Feyenoord.
Nurnberg coach Hans Meyer believes the 27-year-old will be an excellent addition to his squad for next season.
"In Charisteas we have managed to sign an internationally experienced and successful striker who knows the Bundesliga," he told the club's official website.
"In addition he speaks German and can be integrated quickly into the team. We are looking forward to having him."
