The Samba star failed to hit the target when Bayern lost 1-0 at Schalke, while Christiansen scored once in Bochum's 4-2 away win at 1860 Munich.
"It feels just great to win the trophy after spending almost ten years in Germany and I have no problem to share it with Christiansen as he has deserved it too because his goals kept Bochum in the Bundesliga," declared Elber, who started his Bundesliga career with Stuttgart before joining Bayern in 1997.
His competitor was also pleased to crown an outstanding season, which has turned him into one of the Bundesliga's hottest transfer targets this summer.
"I am very happy about the trophy as the competition has been really tough," declared Christiansen, who is currently targeted by Wolfsburg, Hannover and several Spanish clubs.
