Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has not testified as planned in the trial for the attack on the Borussia Dortmund team bus last April because of illness.

Aubameyang, who according to Sky sources is on the verge of joining Premier League side Arsenal in a £60m transfer, had been due to give evidence to a German court on Monday.

Lawyer Alfons Becker was quoted in the German paper Frankfurter Allgemeine, saying; "He will not testify today because he is ill."

Aubameyang's team-mate Marc Bartra, who was injured in the attack suffering an open fracture of a forearm, did prepare a statement which was read out in court by his lawyer.
