Ecuador striker to leave Germany in the New Year
Mainz will allow Ecuador striker Felix Borja to leave the club on a free transfer when the transfer window reopens next month.
The 27-year-old is expected to sign a three-and-a-half year contract with Mexican outfit Puebla CF.
Borja fell out of favour at the start of last season following the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as manager.
He was poised to join Bundesliga 2 outfit FC Augsburg last summer following a successful trial, but the clubs failed to agree terms.
Borja joined on loan from Greek outfit Olympiakos at the start of the 2007/08 campaign and made the move permanent following good form.
He was contracted to the club until the end of the Bundesliga season, however, the club have now agreed to let him leave early.
