A stoppage-time equaliser by Tom van Hyfte secured a dramatic 2-2 draw for Roda JC at Ajax on Saturday afternoon.

Teenage attacker Kasper Dolberg struck either side of Adil Auassar to put Ajax 2-1 ahead at half-time, but Van Hyfte headed home in the 91st-minute to salvage a point for Roda.

The match ended in scrappy fashion when Roda defender Frederic Ananou was sent off in the closing stages after picking up a second yellow card.

ADO Den Haag made it two wins out of two to start their Eredivisie campaign as they beat Vitesse Arnhem 2-1 at the GelreDome.

Former Norwich City striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel put the hosts ahead, but a double from Gervane Kastaneer secured three points for Den Haag, sending them top of the table.

Excelsior beat Groningen 2-0 thanks to goals from Jurgen Mattheij and Kevin Vermeulen.

Mattheij opened the scoring after just two minutes with a well-placed header before Vermeulen wrapped up the victory with a stunning strike from distance in added time.
