Ajax kept up the pressure on Eredivisie leaders Feyenoord with a 2-0 victory against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday.

Chelsea loanee Bertrand Traore, back in the Ajax side after returning from Africa Cup of Nations duty, scored on the stroke of half-time before Kasper Dolberg doubled the hosts' advantage four minutes after the interval.

Ajax's fifth consecutive victory moves them back to within five points of rivals Feyenoord.

Before kick-off, the club paid tribute to former winger Piet Keizer, who died at the age of 73.

Keizer scored 189 goals in 490 games for the Amsterdam heavyweights and, together with his late teammate Johan Cruyff, helped Ajax to three straight European Cup titles from 1971-73.
