League leaders Feyenoord extended their unbeaten run in the Eredivisie to 11 games with a 1-0 win over bottom side ADO Den Haag at the Kyocera Stadion.

Karim El Ahmadi scored the only goal of the game on 62 minutes but the hosts came close to equalising with 10 minutes to go when Mike Havenaar's shot went just wide.

Despite their best efforts ADO could not get back into the game as Alfons Groenendijk's side fell to their sixth straight league defeat.

Second-placed Ajax won 1-0 at Vitesse Arnhem, who slip to eighth in the table.

Davy Klaassen's goal on 26 minutes was all the visitors needed to secure their sixth successive league win as they remain five points behind the league leaders.

Sparta Rotterdam put a stop to their three-game losing streak with a 2-2 draw with FC Groningen at Het Kasteel.

The hosts were two goals ahead in the first 18 minutes through Paco van Moorsel and Ivan Calero but Ruben Yttergard Jenssen got the visitors back into the game just four minutes later.
