ADO Den Haag goalkeeper Martin Hansen has described his incredible last-gasp equaliser against PSV Eindhoven as "pure instinct".
The 25-year-old scored a remarkable backheel after coming up for a stoppage-time set piece in the 95th minute of Tuesday's Eredivisie encounter at the Kyocera Stadion.
Hansen, who began his career at Brondby, admits he was sent up to cause a distraction, rather than score a goal.
"It's been difficult to put words on it, to be fair," said the former Liverpool and Bradford keeper.
"I wanted to get them to put it to the back post and I would try and create some chaos at the front post. The ball just fell in my line and I tried to do anything to direct it towards the goal.
"I've tried to explain it a few times now but I always come out with the answer that it was pure instinct. I'm claiming the goal as something I knew I was doing.
"I was thinking maybe somebody behind me could tap it in but I got a sweet connection to it and next thing I knew, it's in the goal.
"We keepers normally don't move as normal strikers or midfielders do in the box so I'm sure they have to look at us in a different way and try to defend us differently."
Hansen says he is targeting more goals this season and vowed to continue going up late on for set pieces.
"If we can gain a point, then yes," he said.
"We have the philosophy that if we're one goal down, and it’s the start of the season, a two-goal loss is not that bad. We did it last season against Groningen where we also scored in the 94th minute."
