Arsenal supporters tore down hoardings at White Hart Lane following their victory in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night, and there were skirmishes between supporters outside the ground before kick-off.
A small number of Gunners fans ripped off hoardings that displayed Tottenham mottos in the away section of the stadium as they were held inside the ground following a 2-1 win.
Arsenal released a statement expressing concern at the actions of their supporters and insisted they would assist in any investigation into the incident.
A club spokesman said: 'We are concerned that this happened, involving a minority of fans. We will work with Tottenham Hotspur and the authorities on this."
The Metropolitan Police confirmed 10 people were arrested for a range of offences including public order, criminal damage and assault.
Some reports suggested their could be an investigation by the Football Association but a spokesperson told SSNHQ on Thursday that their role is restricted to liaising with both clubs and offering support and guidance.
This is because it was a criminal damage incident which falls within the remit of the Metropolitan Police. The responsibility is now with Arsenal to identify the individuals involved.
Two goals from Mathieu Flamini gave Arsenal victory on the night, while Gunners defender Calum Chambers scored for Tottenham with an own goal.
