Manchester City draw Everton in Capital One Cup semi-finals

Premier League leaders Manchester City will face Everton while Stoke meet Liverpool in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.

Roberto Martinez's side won 2-0 at Sky Bet Championship side Middlesbrough on Tuesday but must now see off high-flying City to keep alive the possibility of an all-Merseyside Wembley final and secure their first League Cup triumph.

Everton will host City at Goodison Park on Wednesday, January 6 (8pm) with the second leg at the Etihad on Wednesday, January 27 at 7.45pm.

Liverpool thrashed Southampton 6-1 at St Mary's in Wednesday's last-eight Sky Live clash and they will now take on Stoke for a place in the Wembley final on Sunday, February 28.

Divock Origi scored a hat-trick for Jurgen Klopp's side and Daniel Sturridge - who returned from long-term injury against Swansea on Sunday - netted twice as the Reds romped home.
