EFL Cup semi-final dates confirmed for Man Utd, Hull, Southampton and Hull

The schedule for next month's EFL Cup semi-finals has been confirmed with Manchester United's first-leg tie against Hull City first up.

United, who defeated West Ham 4-1 in the last eight, will host the Tigers, who shaded Newcastle in a midweek penalty shootout, at Old Trafford on Tuesday, January 10 (8pm kick-off).

Hull manager Mike Phelan admits it'll be 'special' to return to Manchester United with the two sides facing each other in the semi-finals of the EFL Cup

The second leg will take place at the KCOM Stadium on Thursday, January 26 (7.45pm kick-off).

The first leg of the other semi-final between Southampton and Liverpool will be played at St Mary's on Wednesday, January 11 (7.45pm kick-off).

Saints, 2-0 winners at Arsenal in the last eight, then travel to Anfield for the return leg with the Reds, who defeated Leeds 2-0 on Tuesday, on Wednesday, January 25 (8pm kick-off).  

All four matches will be screened live on Sky Sports.
