Bayern Munich ensured they will finish atop Group F in the Champions League with a 4-0 thrashing of Olympiakos at the Allianz Arena.

Douglas Costa, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller all scored before half-time as Bayern took total control.

And, despite having Holger Badstuber sent off after the break, the hosts continued to hold sway, Kingsley Coman grabbing their fourth goal.

Olympiakos should still qualify for the last 16 if they avoid a two-goal defeat to Arsenal on December 9, but the Gunners will progress if they score more than three goals and win by any margin.

Costa opened the scoring for Bayern in the eighth minute, slotting home the rebound after Roberto had saved from Jerome Boateng.

Lewandowski (16) then shot home from the edge of the area after inadvertently blocking a Coman shot.

And it was 3-0 after just 20 minutes when another misdirected Coman shot fell to Arjen Robben, who headed across the goal, allowing Muller to convert.

Robben then limped off and Badstuber's first start for nine months ended when he was dismissed for bringing down Brown Ideye after the break.

However, Bayern remained in charge and Coman headed home goal number four with 20 minutes left.

Zenit St Petersburg will top Group H after making it five wins from five with a 2-0 victory over Valencia at Petrovski Stadium.

Oleg Shatov gave Andre Villas-Boas' side the lead when he lifted the ball over Valencia goalkeeper Jaume Domenech in the 15th minute as the defence appealed in vain for offside.

And Artyom Dzyuba then bagged his fifth group stage goal in the 74th-minute, tucking the ball into the net after a Hulk lay-off capped a fine move.

A grim night for Valencia then got worse when defender Ruben Vezo was shown a straight red card 10 minutes from time for scything down Shatov.

Valencia have dropped to third in Group H, supplanted by Gent after the Belgian side defeated Lyon 2-1 in France thanks to a dramatic late winner which knocked out their hosts.

Jordan Ferri put Lyon ahead after seven minutes, only for Danijel Milicevic to equalise with a curling free-kick.

Lyon pressed hard for the winner throughout the second half but the visitors stole the three points when Kalifa Coulibaly headed home a corner at the second attempt, fully five minutes into stoppage time.

In Group G, Dynamo Kiev did Chelsea a favour by winning 2-0 at former Group leaders Porto.

The Portuguese side, previously unbeaten in all competitions this season, had needed only a draw to qualify with a game to spare but are now in danger of missing out altogether, because they visit Chelsea in their final game.

Porto were given a massive first-half let-off when Denys Garmash headed against the post and Junior Moraes put the rebound wide.

But the visitors went in front 10 minutes before the break, Andriy Yarmolenko sending Iker Casillas the wrong way from the spot after Giannelli Imbula had fouled Serhiy Rybalka.

And the second goal came in the 64th-minute thanks to a bad blunder by former Real Madrid keeper Casillas, who misjudged a weak Derlis Gonzalez shot and tried to punch it away with one hand, only for the ball to loop into the net.

In Group E, BATE Borisov and Bayer Leverkusen remain in contention for second place behind group winners Barcelona after a 1-1 draw in Belarus.

Mikhail Gordeichuk headed the hosts into a second-minute lead, only for Admir Mehmedi to level for the German side with just over 20 minutes left.
