England striker Daniel Sturridge says there is no pressure on the team and that the players should enjoy Euro 2016

England's inexperience will be no barrier to success at Euro 2016, according to Daniel Sturridge.

Roy Hodgson has selected the youngest squad of any of the 24 finalists and also has the tournament's youngest player in 18-year-old Marcus Rashford.

Just four players in Hodgson's squad went to Poland and Ukraine four years ago, while eight have played fewer than 10 internationals.

But Sturridge pointed to the success famously delivered by Manchester United's youthful teams of the 1990s as proof that anything is possible in the coming weeks.

"I don't believe age has got anything to do with it; it's how you play as a team and how you gel as a team," the Liverpool striker said after taking part in England's open training session in Chantilly on Tuesday morning.

"If you go back to Manchester United, the Liverpool sides and all other clubs around the world who have had young squads and young players, they had a gelling period and became successful.

"I believe that we can do that. I don't see why we won't be successful at the tournament just because we are young.

"We are very prepared, the management team are telling us about our opposition and how they perform. We'll have no excuses when we go out there because we've got all the information that we need.

"They've put many hours in to make sure that we know about our opposition. We are very excited about it and we are look forward it to it."
