Aaron Cresswell says the last three weeks, in which he has returned from injury, played four times for West Ham and earned his first England call-up, is the stuff of dreams.
The 26-year-old left-back has been picked for Gareth Southgate's squad to face Scotland and Spain this week in place of the injured Danny Drinkwater.
Cresswell missed the start of the season with a knee injury but made his return on October 15 and is relishing the idea of making his international debut against rivals Scotland.
"On the back of missing just one game for West Ham in two years, coming back from injury in three months, playing a few games and then getting called up to the national side is the stuff dreams are made of," he said.
"When you start out playing football, everyone wants to represent their country. For me to do that would be a proud moment for me and my family.
"It's been fantastic. I'm delighted to be at St George's Park, with fantastic facilities. I've been here before with West Ham training a few times and I've enjoyed it, so hopefully that continues.
"I am looking forward to it. It's going to be a fantastic atmosphere I'm sure - one we are all looking forward to - and hopefully we can get the job done."
