Ben Brereton's late goal gave England a 1-0 win over the Netherlands in the Euro U19 Championship, putting them on the verge of the semi-finals.

The Forest striker, who burst onto the scene at the City Ground last season, scored in the 85th minute to make it two wins out of two for Keith Downing's men in Tbilisi.

Brereton pounced to turn home Ryan Sessegnon's deflected effort from close range to earn Downing's side three points, meaning they are top of Group B with one game remaining.

England had won 2-0 in their opening game against Bulgaria, and now face Germany on Sunday, and just need a draw to reach the last four.

England were kncoked out at the semi-final stage last season against Italy, who themselves lost to France in the final in Germany.
