Liverpool's Dominic Solanke scored as England U21s continued their unbeaten start to Euro qualifying with a 2-0 win over Ukraine.

Solanke's strike (16), followed by a second-half own goal by Ukraine's Pavlo Lukyanchuk (62) sealed the win for Aidy Boothroyd's side, who are top of Group Four after five games.

They've taken 13 points out of a possible 15, and Boothroyd's England were captained by Bournemouth midfielder Lewis Cook, with many regulars with the England senior side for their friendly against Germany at Wembley.

Solanke finished well from the edge of the box from Kieran Dowell's pass after good early pressure from the visitors, before Demarai Gray struck narrowly wide after edging inside from the right.

Cook was involved in England's second after the hour mark, going on a mazy run before feeding Gray via Solanke. Then Gray's cross was turned home at close range by the unfortunate Lukianchuk.

Norwich City's James Maddison made his Under-21 debut late on, coming on for Solanke with 11 minutes remaining.
