Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain backs Theo Walcott for England

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain believes Theo Walcott has the qualities to play in attack for England and help secure their place in next year’s European Championships.
Roy Hodgson's side go to San Marino on Saturday before hosting Switzerland in Group E on Tuesday with England knowing victory in the first match will see them advance to the finals.
Walcott has been called up by Hodgson as one of his four main strikers and despite not scoring yet for Arsenal this season, his Gunners' team-mate Oxlade-Chamberlain has backed him to play a crucial role up front.
"I think Theo has been ready for a number of years to play there. He's someone I look up to and admire as a person and a player," said Oxlade-Chamberlain.
"His form for club and country in his long career proves why he's is ready, his goalscoring record proves why he is ready to play up front.
"He is a great player and poses different threats than other strikers with his ability to run in behind.
"I have no doubt Theo can play up front - or in midfield as well."
Walcott could partner Rooney, with the Manchester United striker two goals away from passing Sir Bobby Charlton as England's all-time leading scorer.
"It's almost gone under the radar within the camp really, our main focus has been the team and the San Marino game and then the game on Tuesday," added Oxlade-Chamberlain.
"I wouldn't put it past him to break it on Saturday, whenever he makes that achievement he has been an amazing player for England for so many years."
