Everton defender Gethin Jones has been called into a young Wales squad despite interest from Australia, where he was born.
Jones, 21, is one of four new faces called into Chris Coleman's 26-man training squad for for the World Cup Qualifier against Serbia on June 11, with Gareth Bale ruled out due to suspension.
Tom Lockyer, Ethan Ampadu and Marley Watkins all receive first-time call-ups to the training camp ahead of next month's match.
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, Reading defender Chris Gunter and Huddersfield goalkeeper Danny Ward will join up halfway through the pre-match preparations due to their club's extended seasons, Wales confirmed.
Perth-born youngster Jones said earlier this year he felt "more Welsh than Australian", and has now appeared to commit his future to Wales after being named in the preliminary squad.
"I've been Wales captain from the Under-16s to the Under-21s so if the first team called I'd definitely go for that," he said.
Ampadu, 16. has made 13 appearances for Sky Bet League Two side Exeter City this season, but also earns a call into the senior squad for the first time despite his young age.
Liverpool youngsters Harry Wilson and Ben Woodburn also retain their places in Coleman's squad.
Bale, who was booked in Wales' 0-0 draw with the Republic of Ireland in March, received Coleman's backing to add another trophy to his collection in front of fans in Cardiff when Real Madrid take on Juventus in the Champions League final on June 3.
The Wales boss believes his young squad is ready to fill the void left by Bale's absence.
"We've had plenty of time to think knowing that he's not going to be there," said Coleman. "Our players are capable of doing it."
