Northern Ireland are in advanced talks to play Slovenia in Belfast in March, according to Sky sources.
Should the match be confirmed, it would form one of four potential warm-up matches for Euro 2016 for Micahel O'Neill's side.
The Northern Ireland FA are believed to favour Monday March 28 for the match ahead of the association's first European Championship.
O'Neill's side are unbeaten in eight games in all competitions, while Slovenia failed to qualify for the tournament.
