Coleman suffered a double leg fracture playing for the Republic against Wales in March 2017 but, after proving his fitness having played three times for Sam Allardyce's side since the turn of the year, he will return to the international fold, hoping to feature in Antalya on March 23.

The Football Association of Ireland announced the news in a tweet which said: "Welcome back, Seamus Coleman! The Ireland captain returns from injury to take his place in the squad for the game against Turkey!"

Ireland boss Martin O'Neill has also called up five uncapped players, including West Ham defender Declan Rice, Manchester United goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara and Sheffield United left-back Enda Stevens.
