Martin's Starting Stats from Man Utd v Arsenal

Olivier Giroud became the first Arsenal player to score against a Jose Mourinho side since Gilberto Silva scored a penalty in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea in May 2007.

Juan Mata's opener meant Arsenal trailed for the first time away from home in the Premier League this season. They were behind for 21 minutes, to add to 52 minutes at home.

Giroud helped Arsenal extend their unbeaten run to 17 games in all competitions and 11 in the Premier League. Their last away defeat in the Premier League was at Old Trafford on February 28.

Mata, who had scored four goals in five games against Arsenal for Chelsea, scored his first goal in five appearances for Manchester United against Arsenal.

Phil Jones made his first Premier League start at home since January 2, while Giroud hasn't started a league game this season. He still has three goals in his last three appearances as a substitute.

United have now lost just one of their last 11 Premier League meetings with Arsenal and they are unbeaten in their last 10 home meetings with them in the league.

Mourinho is unbeaten in all 12 Premier League games he has managed against Arsenal (W5 D7). Arsene Wenger has won just one of 16 matches against Mourinho (L8 D7 W1). The one win was the Community Shield in 2015.

Run of results

Chelsea won last 5 matches by scores of 1-0, 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0. How many times did that happen in PL history? @ChelseaHeroToma

MARTIN SAYS: According to our friends at Opta, Chelsea are actually the first team to achieve this quirky feat in the Premier League era.

The run started with a 3-0 win over Leicester at Stamford Bridge, with Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Victor Moses on the scoresheet.

They then beat Manchester United 4-0, Southampton 2-0 and Everton 5-0, before Costa's winner secured a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough on Nissan Super Sunday.

They face Spurs next at Stamford Bridge. A goalless draw or a 6-0 win keeps this stat alive!

Leaving it late

Tottenham always seem to score last-minute goals against West Ham. Has any team scored more against another PL team? Craig

MARTIN SAYS: According to Opta, Harry Kane's late penalty against West Ham was Tottenham's sixth goal scored in the 90th minute or later against West Ham in the Premier League - their most against any single Premier League team.

Kane (February 2015), Eric Dier (August 2014), Gareth Bale (February 2013), Jamie O'Hara (December 2008) and Darren Bent (May 2008) have also scored in the last minute for Spurs against West Ham.

For Hammers fans it may feel like an all-too-often occurrence against their London rivals, but Tottenham themselves have a tormentor with an even great appetite for late goals.

They have conceded 10 times in the final minute or later against Chelsea, the joint highest number of goals in Premier League history.

Food for thought for Mauricio Pochettino as he prepares his side to face the Blues at Stamford Bridge this weekend.

You'll notice I said joint highest, though. Chelsea share top spot with Arsenal, who have also scored 10 goals from the 90th minute onwards against Aston Villa.

Staying the same

Which PL team has gone the longest period of time without naming an unchanged line-up? Andrew F

MARTIN SAYS: Chelsea and West Brom were the only teams to name an unchanged side last weekend. In fact, Antonio Conte has named the same starting XI for the last five matches.

Most managers prefer to rotate, though, none more so than Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool have gone 40 matches without naming an unchanged line-up - more than double any other Premier League team.

Klopp has only picked the same Liverpool line-up once, when the XI that started his first match in charge - a 0-0 draw at Tottenham - started again against Southampton a week later on October 25.

The Reds drew that game too before Klopp made one change for the trip to Stamford Bridge, bringing in Roberto Firmino for Divock Origi. A lot of those were due to injuries and the number of games they had last season. Klopp does have some continuity.

Liverpool won the match 3-1 and since then the German has not looked back, making at least one alteration to his line-up every Premier League match-day, including against Southampton on Saturday.

Five other teams have changed their line-up in every match this season. West Ham and Tottenham last named an unchanged line-up last April (15 league games ago). Sunderland last named an unchanged line-up in May (13 league games ago), as did Middlesbrough (12 league games) and Manchester City (12 league games).

Wait for a brace

How long was the gap between Victor Anichebe's Premier League braces and is it a record? Marshie

MARTIN SAYS: Before his double for Sunderland against Hull, almost 10 years had passed since Victor Anchibe's last Premier League brace.

When Anchibe smashed home his second at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, he ended a 3,612 day wait since his last Premier League double.

That came in December 2006 against Newcastle at Goodison Park as Anchibe scored twice in a 3-0 victory for Everton.

But remarkably, Anchibe's is not the longest gap between Premier League doubles.

The record belongs to Damien Duff, who bagged two for Blackburn against West Ham in December 1997 and then, 4,823 days later, struck twice for Fulham in 2011…against Blackburn! That's a 14-year wait!

While we're here, you might like to know the longest break between two Premier League hat-tricks is 2,243 days. Jermain Defoe hit five for Tottenham against Wigan in November 2009, then scored a treble versus Swansea in January this year.

Low for Leicester

Leicester are down in 14th. Is this the lowest a Premier League champion has been the season after they won the title? Jordan H

MARTIN SAYS: Leicester have actually been lower than this earlier in the season. After one game they were 17th in the table, which is the joint lowest a defending champion has ever been in the Premier League.

Blackburn dropped as low as 17th in the 1995/96 season and Leeds were 17th at the end of a day in the 1992/93 season - although the Premier League had 22 teams back then and for the record they were champions of the old Football League, not the Premier League.

Chelsea dropped to 16th last season, while Manchester United were also 16th early in the 2007/08 season (this data is based on the END of a day of fixtures).

Leicester are currently two points above the relegation zone. No champion side has ever been as low as 18th in the Premier League era and we have never seen one in the relegation zone.
