Lithuania goalkeeper Giedrius Arlauskis is hoping to use Monday's European Qualifier against England as a way to break into Watford's first team.
The 27-year-old has made just one appearance for the Hornets since signing on free transfer from Steaua Bucharest this summer - in the 1-0 defeat to Preston in the Capital One Cup.
Arlauskis is currently providing back-up to the experienced Heurelho Gomes at Vicarage Road, and admits he is happy to just be playing in English football.
"I am very happy - it is a really good team, a new team," Arlauskis said. "I am in the strongest league in the world, that is not only my opinion.
"I am left out of the team and I am doing my best to get in the starting line-up, but of course it is not easy for a Lithuanian player to just come in and get in the starting line-up. I need some time for that but I am really happy at the club."
England travel to Vilnius having won all of their previous nine European Qualifiers and now have the opportunity to finish with a 100 per cent record for the first time in their history.
However, Arlauskis is hoping to scupper those plans and believes that keeping a clean sheet against Roy Hodgson's side will only aid his chances of gaining first-team football in the Premier League this season.
"Of course it is a motivation for me to play against England because the English fans and the Watford fans have not seen me play much so far," Arlauskis added.
