Charlton have appointed Karel Fraeye as interim head coach following the departure of Guy Luzon at the weekend.
Fraeye, 40, worked alongside former manager Jose Riga during the 2012-14 season and helped keep the Addicks in the Championship.
The 40-year-old Belgian will be assisted by compatriot Wim De Corte at the Valley.
"Following the dismissal of Guy Luzon on Saturday, the 37-year-old Belgian will take temporary charge of the Addicks' first-team while the club undertake the process to appoint a Head Coach on a permanent basis," said Charlton club statement on their official website.
"Fraeye will be joined by fellow Belgian Wim De Corte, who joins as interim assistant head coach."
The pair met with the Charlton squad on Monday and will now prepare the team for Saturday's clash with Middlesbrough at the Riverside, aiming to secure the Addicks' first win in 10 league games.
Luzon arrived in January and guided the club to a 12th place finish last season, but managed just two wins in 13 league games this season.
