Charlton have appointed Karel Fraeye as interim head coach following the departure of Guy Luzon at the weekend.

Luzon and his backroom staff were axed in the wake of Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Brentford which leaves the club in the bottom three of the Sky Bet Championship.

Fraeye, 40, worked alongside former manager Jose Riga during the 2012-14 season and helped keep the Addicks in the Championship.

The 40-year-old Belgian will be assisted by compatriot Wim De Corte at the Valley.
