Crawley manager Mark Yates has praised the impact of Josh Yorwerth after the defender extended his loan deal with the Reds until the end of December.

The 20-year-old has made five appearances since joining from Ipswich in September and during that time Crawley have won three games to help fire them up the League Two table.

Yorwerth, a Wales Under-21 international, will now remain in West Sussex until December 29 and Yates is delighted.

"It is good news because I think Josh has played a big part in the upturn in results we have had in recent weeks," he told Crawley's official website.

"He wants to improve his game and is getting that with matches for us. I'd also like to thank (Ipswich manager) Mick McCarthy and everyone at Ipswich for agreeing to Josh staying with us for a further two months."

Meanwhile, fellow defender Liam Donnelly has been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Fulham after making 12 appearances.

Yates added: "Liam has done a good job for us and been a model pro during his time at Crawley.
