Liverpool’s International Champions Cup clash with Barcelona at the 90,000 capacity Wembley Stadium in August has sold out inside three days, the club have confirmed.

The Reds take on the Spanish double winners at the home of English football on August 6 as part of Jürgen Klopp's first pre-season campaign with the club.

Tickets for the penultimate fixture of the International Champions Cup went on sale to season ticket holders and club members on Wednesday ahead of a general sale on Friday morning. And tickets for the mouth-watering clash, which will be shown live on Sky Sports, sold out within two hours of tickets going on general sale.

The International Champions Cup is a 15-team tournament featuring teams from all over the world including Real Madrid, Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan and Manchester United.

Matches will be played between July 23 and August 13 across Europe, North America, China and Australia.

Liverpool play two matches in California as part of the tournament. They face Premier League rivals Chelsea at the Pasadena Rose Bowl on July 27, before meeting AC Milan at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara three days later.

The Reds will also play a separate pre-season friendly against Roma at Busch Gardens, home of the 11-time World Series champions St Louis Cardinals, on August 1.
