Aitor Karanka revealed there may be some Middlesbrough transfer surprises in store, after his side's 0-0 draw with West Brom on Sunday.
Middlesbrough continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League at The Hawthorns in a game where chances were few and far between.
The hosts had the better of the first half, with James McClean denied by a fine save from Brad Guzan, before Salomon Rondon went close for the hosts soon after.
West Brom enjoyed the lion's share of possession but barely troubled Guzan, with limited chances created at either end as both sides looked content with settling for a point apiece.
Speaking after the game, Karanka suggested late transfer activity may be on the cards for Boro before the transfer window closes on Wednesday.
He said: "We are now with five points on the table and that's because the club has done a really good job on the transfer market in the summer.
"Now it's just about adding the right player or players because the squad is almost full so I'm really pleased, especially with the players who are here now.
"The market is the market and sometimes you have surprises to bring when you didn't expect it and sometimes other teams are coming for our players because we have a lot of good players."
Karanka said the point Boro picked up is a hugely important one and praised the spirit shown by his team.
He added: "I'm really pleased and really proud, especially for the spirit of the team in the second half. Before the first international break we have three points so I'm really, really pleased.
"We're in the Premier League because we've been fighting a lot over the past two years and that's the reason we play with this spirit."
