Neil was left dejected after losing 3-0 to Southampton and going down to 10 men

Alex Neil says his Norwich side deserved nothing from their 3-0 defeat by Southampton on Sunday.

The Scot experienced his first away league defeat with the Canaries, a run that had stretched 12 games, and were not helped by Steven Whittaker's sending off in the first half.

Graziano Pelle and a double from Dusan Tadic saw the game off, but even until Whittaker's dismissal for two bookings on 30 minutes, Neil feels his side were not good enough.

He told Sky Sports after Super Sunday: "I thought up until that point we didn't play anywhere near the standard.

"I've got no complaints, we didn't deserve anything from the match.

"The lads have been performing really well until this point, and it's disappointing that it's on national television and we don't do ourselves justice."
