Graham Westley is set to be appointed as Peterborough United's new manager, Sky sources understand.

Former Preston boss Westley is expected to be unveiled as the man to succeed Dave Robertson, who was sacked by the Sky Bet League 1 club earlier this month.

Robertson's tenure lasted less than four months after he replaced Darren Ferguson in May.

Westley had two spells as manager of Stevenage but left the club over the summer following their League 2 play-off semi-final defeat and was succeeded at Broadhall Way by former England striker Teddy Sheringham.
