New York City midfielder Andrea Pirlo has topped the MLS list of best shirt sellers for 2016, with team-mate Frank Lampard down in ninth position.
Accompanying Pirlo in the top five are Seattle Sounders striker Clint Dempsey - formerly of Spurs and Fulham - Pirlo's City team-mate and current league-leading goal scorer David Villa, Sounders rookie Jordan Morris and LA Galaxy midfielder Steven Gerrard.
The rankings are based on overall retail sales of adidas MLS jerseys on MLSstore.com since the beginning of 2016.
Seven players, meanwhile, were included on the 2016 MLS All-Star Fan XI; Pirlo, Villa, Kaka, Didier Drogba, Sebastian Giovinco, Darlington Nagbe and Giovani dos Santos.
Having moved to a side outside Italy for the first time in his professional career to join City last November, the findings represent a seamless adaptation to life in America for Pirlo, where he has been able to transfer his cult status.
