Robbie Keane says he wants to stay at LA Galaxy but admits he will try to find a new franchise if the California team do not offer him a new deal.
The Irishman has been with MLS team Galaxy for five years, and has five months remaining on his contract.
Speaking to Soccer AM's Tubes the 36-year-old said: "I think I've done well for the club and I'd love to stay.
"But it's out of my hands and it's up to the club to come and speak to me. But if not, then no problem, I'll move on and find somewhere else where I'm wanted.
"But my choice is to stay here. I'm settled here. If I'm still producing on the field then there's no reason why I should leave this place."
The full Robbie Keane interview will be broadcast on Soccer AM on August 6 (Sky Sports 1 HD).
