MLS: Seattle Sounders beaten by Houston Dynamo in opener

Defending MLS champions Seattle Sounders suffered a 2-1 defeat to Houston Dynamo on the opening day of the season.
Houston, who finished last season at the bottom of the Western Conference, scored early through Erick Torres and held on for the win.
Rommel Quioto doubled the lead in the 42nd minute, and Sounders could only pull a goal back after the break through Clint Dempsey, his first goal in more than five months.
FC Dallas extended their streak of season-opening victories to six with a 2-1 triumph over LA Galaxy.
Maximiliano Urruti opened the scoring for Dallas in the 47th minute, Giovani dos Santos equalised from the penalty spot the 57th and Kellyn Acosta clinched the match shortly afterwards.
Colorado Rapids edged New England Revolution 1-0, with Dominique Badji scoring with a close-range header in the 52nd minute.
Anibal Godoy scored the winner as San Jose Earthquakes won 1-0 against Montreal Impact.
David Accam scored an equalizer in 73rd minute to give Chicago Fire a 1-1 draw with Columbus Crew, who opened the scoring via Ethan Finlay in the 17th.
There were 0-0 draws in Sandy, Utah, where Eastern Conference champions Toronto FC were held scoreless by Real Salt Lake, and in Washington, where Bill Hamid made five saves for DC United against Sporting Kansas City.
