MLS round-up: Philadelphia record first win of the season

C.J. Sapong's hat-trick lifted Philadelphia Union to a 3-0 win over New York Red Bulls in their first victory of the MLS season.
Union's win snapped their 15-match Major League Soccer winless streak, while ensuring the Red Bulls' own away losing stretch continued with a fifth consecutive defeat on the road.
Sapong scored in the 74th, 81st and 85th minutes to take his season goal total to seven and give Philadelphia a first regular-season win since a 2-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City last August.
The 28-year-old forward scored his first goal when his shot deflected off the leg of a New York defender before adding a second shortly with a neat header from close-range.
He capped off an impressive home display when he converted a penalty after Red Bulls defender Damien Perrinelle was called for hand ball in the box.
Elsewhere, teenager Ballou Jean-Yves Tabla was the hero for Montreal as the Impact notched their first away win of the season with a 1-0 victory over DC United in Washington.
Tabla, 18, put Montreal ahead in the 13th minute when he met a pass from Adrian Arregui before eluding Jared Jeffrey and Luciano Acosta to find some room to fire a low shot past DC keeper Travis Worra inside the left corner.
Columbus Crew returned to winning ways to seal a 2-0 win over New England Revolution, thanks to goals from Ola Kamara and Federico Higuain.
Forward Kamara sent a bending chip over Revs goalkeeper Cody Cropper to open the scoring in the 13th minute.
Forty minutes later, goalscorer Kamara turned provider to assist Higuain's powerful strike into the top corner.
Meanwhile, three second-half goals helped seal a 4-0 win over Orlando City SC for Houston Dynamo, who remain unbeaten at home this term.
Alberth Elis broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute when he rifled a shot into the bottom corner from inside the box.
Goals from Alex, Mauro Manotas, Romell Quioto and followed after the break as the Dynamo back-line extended their home shutout streak to an impressive 211 minutes.
Maxi Urruti recorded his second two-goal performance of the season and FC Dallas extended their unbeaten run to five with a comfortable 3-0 win over Real Salt Lake to ensure they continue to be the only undefeated team in MLS.
Elsewhere, San Jose Earthquakes saw off Portland Timbers, who dropped into third place in the Western Conference standings after a 3-0 defeat to the Quakes.
Jahmir Hyka scored in the eighth minute after Chris Wondolowski following a scramble inside the box, before Chris Wondolowski netted two second-half goals to take his career tally to 10 goals against the Timbers.
