England are going to win the World Cup - according to nine per cent of people who have played Sky Sports' Road to Moscow predictor.

The Road to Moscow game allows users to predict the outcome of each group, the subsequent knockout games, and the eventual winners of the 2018 World Cup in Russia - with £5,000 on offer to whoever tops the leaderboard at the end of the tournament.

There's still plenty of time to take part in the interactive game, but it has already thrown up some interesting results.

Top the leaderboard at the end of the tournament to win £5,000

A plucky nine per cent have predicted England will lift the World Cup trophy in Moscow on July 15, while a staggering 99 per cent of you expect Gareth Southgate's side to progress beyond Group G - which also features Belgium, Panama and Tunisia - with 41 per cent backing a first-place finish, and 58 percent the runners-up spot.

However, the most fancied World Cup winners are Germany, with 29 per cent of people to date believing Joachim Low's side can retain their crown. Brazil trail on 25 per cent, with France (15%) and Spain (11%) also above England.

A Brazil-Germany final is the most predicted showdown, with 50 per cent of people expecting Brazil to win the semi-final on their half of the draw, and 59 per cent backing Germany on the other.

Meanwhile, only five per cent envision Lionel Messi finally leading Argentina to glory on the international stage, with four per cent picking Belgium. Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal - the Euro 2016 champions - have accumulated just one per cent of votes to date.
