Glasgow Warriors duo Henry Pyrgos and Fraser Brown suffer injury blows

Glasgow Warriors and Scotland scrum-half Henry Pyrgos has been ruled out for four months after undergoing wrist surgery and is expected to miss the start of next year’s Six Nations.

Pyrgos has undergone surgery at Spire Leeds Hospital and remains under the care of the Scotland medical team.

He is joined on the injury list by hooker Fraser Brown, his club and international team-mate, who faces eight weeks out following a foot operation.

"We wish Henry (Pyrgos) and Fraser (Brown) all the best with their rehab and we look forward to welcoming them back into the squad when they've recovered from their respective injuries," said Warriors head coach Gregor Townsend.

Tight-head prop Sila Puafisi will make his Glasgow debut against Ospreys at Scotstoun on Sunday after featuring for Tonga in the World Cup.

He will be joined by Scotland trio Tommy Seymour, Peter Horne and Gordon Reid, with Fijian second-row Leone Nakarawa also in contention to play in the Guinness PRO12 match.
 
USA international lock Greg Peterson is set to make first start for the club, having previously made two appearances from the replacements bench.
